This course covers the areas of pre- and post-production where predominantly computer generated visual effects are utilised; starting with introductions to the areas of video and film production, students go on to develop skills in the area of pre-visualisation, editing, motion graphics, visual effects content generation and compositing elements to create final sequences ready for distribution; students share projects with an allied course, special effects development, and work alongside these students on multi year, multi team projects, replicating the experience of a professional post production facility; through this experience students learn not just how to develop visual content but also how to work with the various teams and the different skill sets they are likely to encounter in their professional career.
