IU, MBA, MBA Clinical Research Management

Your degree programme will focus on relevant aspects of management. It has 17 modules with both compulsory and elective subjects. The compulsory subjects cover management qualifications that focus on the regulatory environment, ethical questions, and the processes of organising, documenting and conducting clinical studies. For the elective subjects, students can chose specialisations that cover change management, negotiation, innovation and entrepreneurship. Students complete their degree with a master thesis in the form of a project that applies acquired knowledge to a concrete problem and uses scientific methods. The results are then presented and defended.

• Bachelor´s degree. Minimum grade point average of 3.0 according to the German grading system.
• English, academic IELTS 6.0/ TOEFL IBT 80 points.

This 6 semester long professional certification uses blended and onsite learning with industry experts from PAREXEL International. The Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research Management provides in-depth knowledge and insights about the clinical research industry, from drug discovery to regulatory requirements and data management. Our programme blends theory with practice, and uses authentic case studies to ensure effective learning and immediate application in the workplace. Graduates are qualified for pharmaceutical and medical research service management.

Career prospects

Clinical Research Managers are responsible for organising, coordinating and conducting clinical trials as well as liaising with external clients, committees and official partners. Pharmaceutical and medical research is an industry of high economic importance while at the same time being highly regulated. Therefore, it generates a high demand of experts who combine a pharmaceutical background with micro- and macroeconomic competencies.
