An Honours degree in a biologically based scientific subject; students holding degrees in other subjects may be considered on the basis of supplementary knowledge of the horse industry and on their age and experience.

The course provides advanced scientific information which is specific in its relation to the problems and processes involved in the management of horses and ancillary equine industries; students will be encouraged to use the information provided in a practical manner and it is hoped to provide a bridge between academic equine research and the practical equine world.
