Semester 1 (compulsory classes): Communications theory; communication networks; computer technology and modern programming concepts; DSP theory; multimedia signal and image processing; optional classes: Probability and stochastic processes; fundamental control technology; semester 2 (compulsory and optional classes) enables specialisation: case study assignment; mobile communications systems; network design, performance and management; digital signal processing implementation; advanced digital signal processing.
Вступительные требования
A good Honours degree in electronic engineering, computer science or an equivalent subject; relevant industrial experience may be accepted in lieu; candidates whose first language is not English and who have not obtained their qualifications in an English-speaking institution must achieve the following English language standards: TOEFL 100 (Internet-based); 250 (computer based); 600 (written); or IELTS 6.5.

The course brings together multimedia concepts and standards, wireless and fixed broadband communication systems and protocols, multimedia programming concepts, internet and web applications, and programming paradigms; these foundations are unified through system design issues within taught classes, hands-on or self-directed case study assignments and extended project work.
