Students who wish to enrol in an MSc programme at Wageningen University must have: At least a BSc degree (or equivalent) in a field of science that is relevant to the specific programme selected; A GPA (Grade Point Average) for the entire BSc study equivalent to at least B/B+ (US system), or a degree classified at least as 2nd class upper division (UK system); Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Good skills in mathematics and/or statistics; Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; use and structure of the Internet; RSI-prevention). There are no specific requirements for the MSc program Climate Studies. The student should have a BSc degree in earth sciences, ecology, economy, policy or related fields. The student should have a sufficient knowledge of calculus and statistics. IELTS overall grade 6.0 (with a minimum sub-score of 6.0 for speaking) TOEFL internet-based 80 (with a minimum sub-score of 20 for speaking) Cambridge FCE pass at grade B or above.

The question is no longer if our climate will change, but how will it change and how will we adapt to these changes? Adaption and mitigation to global warming, the greenhouse effect and climate change all form the basis of the Master Climate Studies programme at Wageningen University & Research. Students will gain a broad overview of climate change during this two-year programme. As changes and challenges crystallise, the demand for scientists able to understand and investigate them will rise. This master programme is specifically targeted at students who wish to focus on the scientific insights into climate change and on the social and economic implications of climate change in the broadest sense.
