The minimum academic standard for admission to research thesis degree programs is a minimum standing equivalent to a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 or a CGPA of 3.2/4.0 for the last two full-time academic years. Students are expected to score in the top 50 percentile. IELTS 6.5. However, applicants are encouraged to take the GRE (General and Subject) and provide the results, as many supervisors make use of this information in selecting students.
