Modules are taught by both academics and theatre directors with the assistance of professional actors in the practical classes; at the end of the course students present a full-scale production at a London fringe venue.

Degree and some experience in directing preferred; experienced actors or actresses looking for a career change and with extensive knowledge of the theatre may be considered; applicants whose 1st languages is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

The course explores the art and techniques of theatre directing within the context of contemporary theatre-making; enhances students’ professional practice and helps students gain access to the theatre profession.
