Students from foreign education systems must have validated high school or university diploma. In order to be admitted to this degree, new students must possess a basic social sciences and human sciences education, together with good skills in logical reasoning. Students must have adequate knowledge of the language in which the lessons are taught (must take a language proficiency test or have at least B1 certificate).
The graduate in Catalan Language and Literature will understand how to combine the spirit of innovation and advancement of knowledge with an academic and humanistic vocation which promotes reflection on the human condition in time and space, and will demonstrate the capacity to think clearly, imaginatively and critically, in addition to possessing the specific ability to understand the language and its literature.
