The modern campus with all four schools, the University Library and the Students' House is situated right in the center of Jönköping, close to everything that the city has to offer. Jönköping is one Sweden's ten largest cities and is also one of the most beautifully situated at the juncture of three sprawling lakes.
The modern campus offers a variety of services, including the library, health care, career center, computer labs, cafés and restaurants. Jönköping University’s new sports center includes a multifunction hall, an activity center and a gym.
An important part of student life in Jönköping is meeting new people and relaxing with friends. In Jönköping there are plenty of things to do during a break from your studies.
On campus there are have cafés and restaurants where students can meet up with friends. The University is also located in the city center, close to everything the town has to offer with cafés, pubs and restaurants for every occasion and pedestrian streets lined with shops. In the city center, you will find the long sandy beaches of Lake Vättern and the great outdoors is also within easy reach.
The Jönköping Student Union is run by students and for students. The union safeguards the students’ interests in many areas of student life and at the university. To guarantee an active student union, and to ensure student influence at Jönköping University, the university has decided that membership in Jönköping Student Union shall be mandatory for all students at the university. The membership fee varies and is determined by the form of study.
It should be considered, that according to the European Innovation Scoreboard, Sweden is the most innovative and entrepreneurial nation in the whole Europe. It is also a nation with one of the highest standard of living.
All new international students are guaranteed accommodation, provided that they apply for accommodation correctly and announce their arrival in time. The guarantee only applies to admitted students at Jönköping University. Family members are not included in the guarantee.

• Double or single room accommodation off-campus. The kitchens and bathrooms are shared with other students.
• Housing alternatives include bed, bed quilt, pillow, wardrobe, access to laundry-room and kitchen including fridge. Fixed utility cost (electricity and water included). Some kitchen utilities may be left to use by previous students.
Career Center gives businesses and organizations a variety of ways to meet and interact with students. Career Center aims to strengthen students' opportunities of successfully finding appropriate employment upon graduation through:
• Meetings with representatives from professional life
• Career guidance
• Seminars, courses and projects
• Providing information about the labor market.
Total undergraduate costs for nine-month academic year, 2016–2017 are about 933 000 RUB for a non-resident living on-campus. This sum includes tuition and fees - about 668 000 RUB per year, books and supplies – 5 000 RUB, room and board – 225 000 RUB, personal and transportation costs – 35 000 RUB.
The university also offers a limited number of scholarships to students from outside the EU/EEA through the Visby Program for master level studies in Sweden. The master scholarships within the program are targeted at citizens of Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
Besides, there are some scholarships offered by other organizations.
Jönköping University (JU) is a young professional-oriented university characterized by a high degree of internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive collaboration with surrounding society. It is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates.
Jönköping University has around 12,000 students, of which 2,000 are international students. The university is one of the top universities in international student exchange and among the best in Sweden in terms of attracting international students. Many programs utilize local business experts as guest lecturers in the classroom or offer company visits. In some programs, students interact with local businesses like IKEA as a part of coursework. A close collaboration with the nearby Science Park incubator creates an environment for innovative students to try out and commercialize their ideas.
