Year 1: Introduces subject knowledge in studio-based practice and theory modules; students are introduced to this through inductions; lectures; tutorials; technical workshops; project-based activity and group discussions; in addition there is an introduction to health and safety and practical and technical skills within metalwork; woodwork; printmaking; photography and information technology facilities; students also learn key communication skills in theory. Year 2: Broadens and develops subject knowledge; studio modules are extended and include study options such as placements and exchanges; theoretical modules introduce and explore critical theory and contemporary art. Year 3: Develops and consolidates subject knowledge; resolution in studio practice is in the form of an assessable exhibition (open to the public) and an extended essay; students also attend professional practice lectures; where students are introduced to particular skills and knowledge relevant to a range of graduate opportunities; the theory module at this level takes the form of a final essay.

Расположение

Город Бирмингем находится на пересечении основных дорог и железнодорожных путей страны. В городе расположены две железнодорожные станции.
