Вступительные требования

High School Course Requirements 4 years English 4 years Mathematics* 1 year Chemistry 1 year Physics 1 year Biology 2 years Foreign Language 3 electives *Four years of mathematics should include at least algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry and pre-calculus, though we prefer that students have calculus. Carnegie Mellon requires TOEFL scores of 102 or better on the internet-based TOEFL (as of Fall 2010) or an IELTS score of 7.5 and above. Carnegie Mellon carefully reviews the sub-scores of each of these exams and considers those candidates with reading, listening, speaking and writing sub-scores of 25 or more on TOEFL and 7.5 or more on IELTS to be candidates with high levels of English proficiency. Carnegie Mellon requires either the SAT Reasoning Test, the new SAT Test, or the ACT Test from every applicant.

Oakland, Shadyside and Squirrel Hill are the closest neighborhoods to campus and easy to explore by foot. But if you’re looking to go beyond the nearby vicinity and have mapped out a plan to see more than the obvious, your Carnegie Mellon student ID will double as your bus pass throughout Allegheny County – including the Pittsburgh International Airport.
