The course offers a vocational emphasis, which focuses upon management for freelance practitioners within the context of commercial, community, and education based projects; using both traditional and modern technologies students will extend their drawing skills and discover new possibilities as a result of new experiences and the sharing of ideas; students will study the history of drawing practice and contextual issues as well as professional practice and study skills; subjects typically include life drawing, a variety of still-life studies, architectural spaces and landscapes; students will produce a selection of drawings, 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional and digital work; students written work, sketchbooks and tutorials will demonstrate their understanding and visual literacy, fuelled by growing critical abilities which will be underpinned by sound higher level research skills.
