Year 1: This is devoted to giving students the theory, skills and knowledge to enable them to work effectively on productions; in semesters 1-2, all students study 5 main areas: construction, lighting, sound, design and stage management; semester 3 involves a range of projects and some production work. Year 2: Students work solely on the public productions; Mountview has a busy production schedule which is a mix of drama and musicals; whilst some of the productions are performed in the Academy's own theatres, many productions are performed in theatres around the London area.

Fast-track course providing students with the theory, practical knowledge and hands-on experience required to achieve a career in technical theatre and the entertainment industry; it is divided between time spent in the workshop or studio and time spent working on student productions; it also offers the opportunity to use the latest computer technology to assist with set design, construction, lighting design and portfolio presentation as well as to specialise in any area of particular interest.
