Year 1: Software development, the essential elements of programming computers; introduction to the internet, including basic web site development; negotiated work-based learning, using the student's work in business and information technology; HP qualification modules: server, storage and networking fundamentals; computing, imaging and printing fundamentals. Year 2: Object oriented modelling, the international standard for specifying systems; user requirements specification, how to work with end users to develop successful information technology applications; database design and management using international standard ORACLE software; negotiated work-based learning, using more of the student's work in business and information technology; HP qualification modules: students take either the technical track: advanced server and networking configuration; advanced computing, imaging and printing configuration; or the sales track: advanced server and networking sales track; advanced computing, imaging and printing sales track.
