The Programme draws on a variety of disciplines and perspectives to inform students’ development as a midwife. Modules relate to current practice and reflect the current thinking of the day relating relevant WHO and DOH policy and guidance. At level 2 the following modules equating to 60 credits are studied; promoting normality in midwifery, research knowledge, public and reproductive health. At level 3 the following modules amounting to 120 credits are studied; acute and emergency midwifery care, compromised neonate, pharmacology, midwifery practice module, leading midwifery care and project.
