Good 2nd Class Honours degree in archaeology or a cognate subject with appropriate archaeological content, or its equivalent; individual cases where the applicant has a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in an appropriate field are considered on their merits; bridging modules are also offered for those graduates without a suitable 1st degree.

The course aims to provide instruction in a range of skills needed in the analysis of archaeological data, and the opportunity to use them in analysis and interpretation; it introduces the theoretical issues underpinning landscape studies and the archaeology of standing buildings, and introduces a range of techniques that can be used in the study of landscapes and buildings; it equips students with the skills of site evaluation and project management, and gives you the opportunity to interpret and present the archaeological heritage; the classical archaeology module examines both Greek and Roman heritage.
