Requirements specific to the civil and environmental engineering program include: A bachelor's degree, GPA of 3.0 or better, in engineering, preferably civil and environmental engineering, from an accredited institution Completion of calculus I, II, and III and differential equations. In cases where credentials were earned abroad, the Graduate School admissions staff will evaluate to ensure that the applicant has the equivalent of an accredited 4 year U.S. baccalaureate degree. iBT TOEFL: Total-100, Speaking-22, Listening -24, Reading -26, Writing -24. OR IELTS: Total-7, Speaking-6.5, Listening -7, Reading -7, Writing -7. OR PTE:68.

A large, 4-year, public university is located in a large town in a suburban setting and is primarily a commuter campus.


The university is served by the three airports and a small public airport in College Park. A free shuttle service operating on the territory is free of charge to all students.


Conveniently located in the center of the Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington D.C. triangle, campus is easily accessible via car, bus, or Metro.
