Students from outside the Netherlands should have a pre-university secondary education comparable to the Dutch VWO diploma, with high passing grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as required subjects. As the programme is taught entirely in English, a high level of English proficiency (CEFR, B2/C1 level; minimum IELTS score of 6.0, or equivalent) is also required. Advanced Technology is a unique, English-taught Bachelor’s programme that is only available at the University of Twente. It is a broad, technical course that seamlessly matches the needs of society. Not only will you become a specialist in natural sciences and engineering, but you will also get familiar with the ins and outs of entrepreneurship and of the social context in which you will be making a difference. Advanced Technology is a multidisciplinary Bachelor’s programme that combines technical expertise with a keen awareness of society’s needs. You will learn how you can combine different technical disciplines to come up with real multidisciplinary solutions to complex problems, such as the need for energy-efficient transport and new sources of clean energy. You will learn to combine disciplines such as electrical engineering, chemical engineering, applied physics, mechanical engineering, mathematics and business administration.
