Within a structured and supportive learning context, students complete 4 modules and 1 major project (either a written dissertation or a creative film project, depending on skills and previous experience); core modules include: The projected image: cinema and the visual arts; cinema and the transnational; cinema, sexuality and the post-human; European cinema and the new extremism.

A good degree in film; communication; media studies; English; modern languages and literature; or another relevant subject.

the course draws upon the expertise of distinguished scholars of film with strong research profiles in a range of areas; these cover key developments in theory, history and technology, and include an address to such topics as world cinemas (including Latin American, Iranian, Chinese, Japanese); documentary cinema and questions of authenticity; representations of sexuality, gender, and identity; cinema, society and political violence; experimental video and avant-garde film; and Italian horror and new developments in European cinema; in consultation with the Master's Convenor, students may replace 1 of the core modules with an independent learning module (a student-managed project, written or practical); they may also replace 1 of the core modules with a research methods module, which supports the development of arts-related research skills and methodologies.

Расположение

Наши основные кампусы расположены в Кембридже и Челмсфорде, оба в часе езды на поезде от Центрального Лондона. Кембридж расположен всего лишь в часе езды на поезде от Лондона, до него можно доехать по трассе M11. Из Челмсфорда можно быстро добраться до Лондона, всего лишь за 30 минут на поезде, город имеет хорошее транспортное обеспечение со всей страной.
