Honours degree 2:2 or above required for entry. Degree should be in Health or Social Care related discipline. Ideally candidates will also have some experience of working with children and/or young people. BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in a subject which has relevance to and synergy with nursing. Life science based subjects or professional courses within Health and Social Care. Each application will be assessed individually when they apply and their awards will need to be mapped against NMC outcomes to allow entry to a shortened award. All short-listed applicants will be interviewed. Two academics and/or a practitioner will conduct the interview. Applicants will be required to: Provide evidence of recent study undertaken (within the last five years) Provide two references - academic and personal/employment Demonstrate insight into children's nursing Undergo enhanced criminal records bureau disclosure Undergo occupational health screening Be successful at interview Non-Academic Conditions: CRB Checks required, Interviews, Occupational Health clearance required
