Year 1: Animal welfare and law; anatomy and physiology; introductory laboratory techniques; research introduction; molecules and cells; genetics; animal health; animal behaviour; business start up; information and communication technology 1; animal husbandry; introduction to animal nutrition. Years 2 and 3: core units which are studied by all students: Animal training; ornithology; behavioural ecology.

This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge that can be applied to a wide range of animal management industries, particularly in the areas of animal conservation, health, welfare and science; there is emphasis on project work that concentrates of specific areas of individual interest.
