Each trainee sees 3 children in intensive psychotherapy (1 child of 5 years or under, 1 primary school child, and 1 adolescent) a minimum of 3 times a week, with individual weekly supervision for each case; trainees are also required to treat at least 6 children once or twice a week, to work with parents, and to undertake diagnostic assessments; research methods classes focus on a range of relevant methodologies including different qualitative approaches; plus doctoral thesis.

Вступительные требования

Honours degree; or the recognised equivalent of a degree; followed by an appropriate postgraduate course; plus substantial experience of working with children of 2 different age groups; in addition applicants must have completed either the diploma module of the BAP/Birkbeck Master of Science or another pre-clinical course recognised by the Association of Child Psychotherapists; all trainees are required to be in personal psychoanalysis with a BAP approved therapist, at least 4 times a week throughout their training.
