The course draws together units from Bachelor of Science heritage conservation, within the School of Conservations Sciences, Bachelor of arts (Honours) tourism management from the School of Services Management which allow students to focus upon a specialist area of heritage management with a strong emphasis upon tourism; it is intended to appeal to students seeking to use a background/interest in heritage conservation, history, anthropology, and archaeology, to develop careers in the tourism sector of the historic environment; this course benefits from close industry links with talks, field visits and industrial placements, these reinforce the study programme and allow knowledge and experience to be consolidated, making graduates very employable.
