Year 1: Intensive and exploratory; celebrating the culture of studio practice and engaging with a range of creative and analytical opportunities; art; design; painting; literature; music; film and theatre are all explored as rich areas for sourcing visual and conceptual language. Year 2: Greater emphasis is placed on students' individual direction with further exploration of contextual and professional awareness; external live projects and national competition briefs are available when appropriate. Year 3: The final year requires students to propose an appropriate personal programme of work which can evolve continually throughout the year; this could include set, live and competition briefs.

The course offers students a range of experiences in design; illustration and communications through a variety of media; aim is to make use of the relationship between areas; for example: static to moving images, and traditional to new technology so as to redefine, reshape and reconsider visual language; application deadline: March 2010.
