Terms 1 and 2: Classes in design; model-making; technical drawing; computer-aided design; architectural/costume history; carpentry; and painting provide a background to design projects; through which each student carries out complete production designs; plus a further project in film and television design; term 3: students design public productions under supervision; term 4: involves designing for the final 'showcase' productions; plus curriculum vitae and portfolio.

Entry is not limited to those with previous training though the majority of students do come from degree courses; comprehensive portfolio of art work; interview.
