Course is school-based; trainees have their own experienced subject teacher who is assigned as their individual mentor; time on course spent in 2 school placements; trainees start by observing lessons and progress through collaborative teaching with their mentor to whole class teaching; assessment is continuous; successful completion leads to a recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on completion of skills tests; candidates should apply directly to the Collegiate and via GTTR .
