A Good Honours degree in a relevant area such as film; television; media; or communications; those with degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate sufficient academic experience in areas relevant to the subject; those with relevant practical experience and or professional qualifications are also considered.

The course draws on a dense network of organisations and individuals working in documentary today; the MA provides students with the space to engage with the documentary from a variety of traditions, and is structured to provide them with training and professional expertise in dominant and mainstream documentary production techniques, procedures and alternative traditions; the dual focus of the course, allied with its non-prescriptive approach, makes it a unique place to develop knowledge about the documentary; effective practice in whatever documentary traditions students choose to draw on and work with requires critical engagement, reflection and historical knowledge, if students are to fulfil their own potential, as well as that of the documentary genre.

Расположение

Университет расположен в 20 минутах ходьбы (нескольких автобусных остановках) от станции метро «Uxbridge», откуда можно напрямую добраться до Центрального Лондона. Обратно можно вернуться на регулярном ночном автобусе, который останавливается непосредственно возле кампуса. Сам городок Аксбридж также представляет интерес — здесь можно встретить старинные знания и новые современные торговые и коммерческие центры. В городке есть два крупных торговых центра, The Pavilions и Chimes Centre, с различными магазинами, кафе и кинотеатром на 9 залов.
