The applied criminology programme provides students with the ability to apply criminological concepts to problems that arise from crime and criminal behaviour; the programme moves from a thorough grounding in the various criminological theories and issues to an in-depth application of the ideas to contemporary problems surrounding crime; the legal studies programme is specifically designed to reflect the changing nature of the increasingly globalised world, and to this end, the course is structured around the students’ engagement with law, not only at a domestic but at an international level; the course is designed to produce legal minds which can engage in processes of legal reasoning through a competent use of case law, statutory provisions and doctrinal discussion.

Расположение

Студенческий городок North Holmes расположен в центре города Кентербери. В городе находится железнодорожные и автовокзалы; через него пролегают дороги в направлении Лондона и портов. Другие студенческие городки: Medway Campus, Broadstairs Campus, Salomons и Folkestone, которым Университет владеет совместно с университетом Greenwich.
