The majority of undergraduate degrees awarded by the Department of Chemistry are Bachelor of Science degrees. This degree program provides the most appropriate preparation for further graduate study and for industrial positions in research and development or analytical chemistry. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in the fundamental areas of study in chemistry: organic, physical, inorganic and analytical chemistry, along with a rich set of research-focused, instrumentation intensive laboratory experiences aligned with those areas.
