TOEFL (iBT preferred): scores must be submitted directly by Educational Testing Service (ETS). The Internet-based test is preferred. The recommended TOEFL score is 25 on each section of the Internet-based test (or 620 on the paper-based and 260 on computer-based). The minimum TOEFL scores required to apply for admission are Reading: 22, Listening: 22, Speaking: 18, Writing: 22. GRE or the GMAT. Applicants must hold the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree.

Our unique dual-city Master of Entertainment Industry Management (MEIM) program covers everything from management skills to hands-on experience within the entertainment industry. In the first year in Pittsburgh, students develop the business management and leadership skills required to excel in a constantly changing marketplace. In the second year in Los Angeles, students’ practical learning experiences include classes with top industry professionals and almost 1000 hours of internship experience. The MEIM program positions its graduates to be leaders throughout the entertainment industry.

You can always find something new in the city of Pittsburgh. Between the 88 neighborhoods and districts and the 10 colleges with 86,000 students in the area – there’s so much to explore and so many different types of people to meet along with things to do in Pittsburgh.


Oakland, Shadyside and Squirrel Hill are the closest neighborhoods to campus and easy to explore by foot. But if you’re looking to go beyond the nearby vicinity and have mapped out a plan to see more than the obvious, your Carnegie Mellon student ID will double as your bus pass throughout Allegheny County – including the Pittsburgh International Airport.
