By way of units that focus on responding to performances, on tracing the history of theatre and on the economics of theatre-making, the programme develops critical and analytical skills, and trains students in the production of professional-style outputs (reviews, articles, project proposals or reports); each module is intensive and is taught in collaboration with relevant experts (journalists, arts managers, artistic directors, academics and historians); the programme takes full advantage of the School's location in central London, embracing it as a site of performance past and present, and engaging with the theatricality of the metropolis itself.
