8 taught modules: introduction to dependability and resilience; design and analysis techniques for resilience: redundancy and diversity; information security assurance and digital forensics; risk and resilience in socio-technical systems; probabilities and statistics for information technology quality and dependability; assurance cases for security, safety, dependability; software dependability and risk management; software analysis and design for reliability.
Вступительные требования
1st or 2nd Class Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a computing-related topic, or a similar degree in any discipline plus suitable work experience related to information technology; applicants should also have basic competence and familiarity with mathematics and good professional English; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS: 6.5 or TOEFL 100 (internet-based).

This programme aims to enable an IT or engineering graduate to manage safety, reliability and security risk in a technical or management role in system development, procurement, operation or licensing. It teaches a whole-system approach as well as specific techniques for assessing risk and achieving resilience in the face of all threats: physical failures, malicious attack, design faults and user errors.
