Year 1: Critical and contextual studies; working in the environment 1; introduction to ceramics and three dimensional studies; introduction to drawing and life drawing; working in the environment 2; integrated practice. Year 2: Critical and contextual studies; elective; professional studies; interpretive study; studio practice. Year 3: Dissertation; enterprise; visual research methodology; final major project.

The course is concerned with designing and making sculptural furniture; artefacts and artworks for various forms of landscape and environments; both formal and natural; students are able to experience and develop skills in green woodworking; architectural ceramics; hot metal forging and many other processes to create work which engages with the landscape whether it be a garden; an urban open space or the wild, natural landscape.
