This new course runs alongside the existing fashion programme; students study some of the modules from the fashion course such as; introduction to fashion design and fashion communication; along side modules in design and manufacture to enable students to produce jewellery; footwear; millinery; bags / luggage; scarves; belts and other items of adornment; students use a wide range of materials such as leather; resin; metal; textiles; as well as eco options; the course provides the skills for producing one-off, small batch or mass production accessories; students learn traditional manufacturing techniques and cutting edge technology such as laser cutting; sonic welding and digital fabric printing.
