Students explore their practice against cross-contextual reading and analysis; following research into contemporary and historical debates surrounding crafts practice; students extend technical and contextual framework for their objects; working with academic and technical support, students propose and realise rigorous; reflective practice that sits within identified context; individual project will culminate in final exhibition and dissertation.

Appropriate 1st Class or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree; or an ordinary degree supplemented by relevant experience; Masters degree normally required for direct registration to PhD.
