PgCert: Foundations of information systems; professional issues; software engineering; methods and tools; systems architecture; project management; PgDip: information and knowledge management; information assurance and security; organisational behaviour and process improvement; data analysis and databases; strategic application of information systems; emerging technology monitoring; students enrolled on the Master's programme also undertake a project/thesis, allowing them to demonstrate their ability to make use of the knowledge gained during the course in a real situation.

The programme aims to provide differentiated postgraduate education in the principles, practice and technology that underlie, at an operational level, the delivery of effective organisational information systems; the subject matter is based on the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA is a not-for-profit body jointly owned by BCS, IEE, IMIS and e-skillsUK); the course is made up of taught modules, a research based thesis and a viva voce.
