Part 1 consists of 3 taught modules (60 credits): diagnostics and methodologies; critical theories; questions of practice; part 2 consists of independent research and practical work (120 credits), leading to a final public project and a dissertation, with students free to choose the ratio and relationship between the 2 of these.

Good degree in art history, fine art or arts management; or good degree in another subject and evidence of a strong interest in and knowledge and experience of contemporary arts and curatorial practice or arts administration; applications from mature candidates without conventional academic qualifications are encouraged.
