Вступительные требования

High school graduate. Calculus is a prerequisite for admission to Pratt School of Engineering. All candidates for first-year standing must complete either the SAT Reasoning Test, or the ACT with the optional writing portion. Those students who choose to take the three-part SAT should also complete two SAT Subject Tests. Applicants to Pratt School of Engineering should take one SAT Subject Test in mathematics (level 1 or 2). We recommend but do not require the TOEFL or the IELTS. A minimum score of 100 on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT)—or 250 on the computer-based TOEFL (CBT) or 600 on the paper-based TOEFL (PBT) is expected for all applicants to Duke. While not required for admission, interviews provide an opportunity for the applicant to learn about Duke and for a representative of the university to learn about the applicant's strengths. We have alumni volunteers conducting interviews in forty-two countries worldwide.

As a student, we will prepare you for professional employment in areas such as medical device industry, engineering consulting, biomechanics, and biotechnology; graduate work in biomedical engineering, or entrance into medical school. Our program is designed to be flexible to match your interests. Students with special interests can choose a dual major option or take an elective course sequence that provides specific knowledge in biomedical imaging and instrumentation, biomechanics, electrobiology, or biomolecular and tissue engineering.
