First year students receive a 6 week introduction to the studio and location techniques that form the basis of professional photography before moving onto agreed projects; in the second year students review their strengths and agree a set of projects that enable them to concentrate on a specific photographic market; designed to respond to students individual needs and equip them to achieve their personal targets in photography; students are challenged to review their present thinking about photography and to build on that basis' by means of lectures; discussion; research and practical work; an essential part of the programme is individual project work.
