This course is designed to give the knowledge and the focused range of skills necessary for a writing career in the creative industries; the units are designed to be student-centred thus students learn by doing which involves students in activities such as research, interviews, workshops and completion of assignments to deadlines; encouragement is given to students to publish work during the course; much of the course is delivered as flexible learning and projects encourage the student to become reliable, independent workers.
