This course enables the student to study education alongside modules from one of the partner departments; this allows development within, and comparison and contrast with, areas of the the two subjects; this provides the student with an understanding of how theories of learning inform their own learning and an understanding of issues of similarity and contrast between research methodologies in education and their joint subject; the student also develops an understanding of the nature of the knowledge in their joint subject and its curricular implications.

Расположение

Кампусы Университета располагаются в двух городах: в городе Дарем (основной кампус) и в городе Стоктон-он-Тис (кампус Queen’s). Оба города имеют отличное транспортное сообщение с остальными северо-восточными регионами Англии.


Оба студенческих городка находятся в 2 часах 45 минутах езды от Лондона. Недалеко от кампусов есть два аэропорта - международный аэропорт Newcastle и аэропорт Durham Tees Valley.


До всех социальных и культурных учреждений легко добраться пешком из обоих кампусов.
