Year 1: General course intended to be one of breadth of study; includes core drawing studies; printmaking; painting; sculpture; tapestry; visual and cultural studies; 3 design subjects may be selected including 1 arts specialist subject and 1 from graphic design, illustration, film/television, photography, animation. Year 2: 9 projects: 1-3 introduce general aims and underline similarities in basic education of designers for interior, stage and museums; 4-6 contain parallel but linked projects to address the design of interiors, stage sets and museums; 7 is an elaborate game; 8 is diagnostic for tear 3; 9 is a response to the outcome of earlier projects. Year 3: 5 major set themes centred around particular human activities allowing 3 approaches - that of the interior designer, the scenographer and the exhibition designer. The sixth project is student regulated. Year 4: 3 projects: 1 and 3 are student devised and 2 is a set test.
