Year 1: General course intended to be one of breadth of study; includes core drawing studies; printmaking; painting; sculpture; tapestry; visual and cultural studies; 3 design subjects may be selected including 1 arts specialist subject and 1 from graphic design, illustration, film/television, photography, animation. Year 2: Introduction to materials and craft and production techniques. Years 3 and 4: Experimental creative studies; drawing and research based personal work; live projects; placements; sponsorship; competitions.

Visual and cultural studies component is mandatory throughout the course, offering specialisation in design history in the third year during which students must take a course in business studies; industrial placement is available.
