A secondary or high school diploma which gives access to a research university, such as the German Abitur. If you completed secondary education which in your country provides access to a research university, you are usually also eligible for admission to Dutch universities. Russian Attestat Diploma. Non-native speakers of English are required to demonstrate proof of proficiency in English through any of the following:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 100. All subscores should be at least 23.
IELTS (International English language Testing System) with a minimum score of 7.0 overall. Subscores should be 6.5 at least.
CAE (Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English): grade B, A
CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): grade C, B, A
Dutch vwo grade of 7.0 or higher in English (final exam vwo-6)
International Baccalaureate with English at Higher or Standard Level.
European Baccalaureate with English as first or second language.

Why have so many European countries become so rich while many African countries have remained poor? Why did football grow to become the people’s favourite sport in Brazil while in India people are crazy about cricket? And why is the number of migrants worldwide growing in terms of absolute numbers while the number of migrants as a percentage of world’s population remains relatively constant?
As a history student you will learn to answer to these type of questions. In the EUR's international bachelor in History, you focus on societal, economic, political and cultural themes and not (as with many other programmes) historical periods. This lets you keep an eye on the big picture and enables you to see the links between historical and contemporary developments. If your interests reach beyond history alone, then this is the ideal programme for you.
