Section 1: Core subjects with 4 main areas: teaching, learning and resourcing; curriculum, assessment and evaluation; researching education; professional educational development; section 2: option studies: the content of these are negotiated individually; some taught options are normally offered; for 1 option students must undertake a study of the curriculum and teaching and learning methodologies of their chosen subject area; section 3: practical teaching: 180 hours of recorded teaching practice over the 2 years, assessed by 9 teaching observations.
