Taught component (25%) is a series of seminars in 1st term which study diverse aspects of built environment; research topics aim to allow maximum freedom for students to pursue their interests, subject to the availability of appropriate supervision and assessment of whether or not subject is appropriate: course usually includes 2 study trips, 1 in Britain and 1 abroad.
