The course takes a holistic view of client care integrating theory with practice; students develop effective written, interpersonal and team working skills within professional contexts; the ability to evaluate service delivery critically and modify working practices and systems; in addition they learn advanced writing and reporting skills; the ability to investigate and analyse complex issues and to formulate arguments to justify practice; students develop practitioner skills such as the ability to work in collaboration with a wide range of service users within a variety of health and social care settings, and the ability to assess complex user needs, plan, evaluate and modify intervention.
