Students must be engaged in teaching in the lifelong learning sector (further education, adult and community education, work-based learning and voluntary sector) for at least 75 hours per year, and have a degree or equivalent in the subject they are hoping to teach; students must have a minimum level 2 qualification in mathematics and English; all candidates are interviewed prior to starting the course.
