2:1 honours degree or above in a related discipline; the programme also welcomes applications from mature students who do not have the necessary entry requirements; Hartpury will consider applications on the basis of evidence of personal, professional and educational experience which indicates an applicant’s ability to meet the demands of postgraduate study.

This postgraduate programme provides students with an opportunity to explore the application of theoretical concepts whilst inspecting the scientific rationale behind high-level coaching practice; it aims to educate new, innovative and progressive coaches by accessing the latest research and developments from within the field, providing practising coaches with a postgraduate educational experience in a bid to continually upgrade the experience of their athletes; the programme seeks to recruit professional coaches from withinthe industry to ‘up-skill’ their knowledge by offering a menu of options as part of their continued professional development; however undergraduate students with relative coaching experience and/or qualifications will find the programme equally valuable.
