Core modules include: Conservation philosophy and practice; history of the built environment; building and contextual investigation; conservation technology and materials and buildings pathology; optional modules include: building services in historic buildings; structural engineering for conservation; contracts and procurement; facilities management; asset maintenance management; project management theory and practice; plus research dissertation for Master's or project report for the diploma.

Master's: good relevant Honours degree and/or full membership of a relevant professional institution; diploma/certificate: good Honours degree or an ordinary degree plus an acceptable period of relevant industrial experience.
